Little Miss has decided that she cannot wear dresses anymore because her hair is "not perfect enough for them." There is always "a little piece that sticks up in the back" and therefore dresses are a no go. Before now, she insisted she must only wear dresses so now her drawers are overflowing with dresses and we have a real pants shortage. I'm not sure where this idea has come from, but I see it in other areas as well where she is already on a quest towards perfectionism and anything that does not live up to her vision results in a meltdown.<br />
<br />
I've told her it's okay if her hair sticks up. I love her hair, to me it is perfect! But anyone who has tousled with four year old logic knows none of this will do. I decided to enlist the help of my wiser friend with an older daughter who has also struggled with similar frustrations.<br />
<br />
She recommended several great books that got the message across in simple but effective ways.<br />
<br />
1. <i><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Crazy-Hair-Neil-Gaiman/dp/0060579102/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1456114867&sr=1-1&keywords=crazy+hair" target="_blank">Crazy Hair</a></i> - By Neil Gaman and Dave McKean<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BG_2-b7zHhw/VspkgTKv-ZI/AAAAAAAABj4/PqL39sIboDk/s1600/61RU0T7qp0L._SY498_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BG_2-b7zHhw/VspkgTKv-ZI/AAAAAAAABj4/PqL39sIboDk/s320/61RU0T7qp0L._SY498_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This book was the one my daughter was the most excited to read. I think the picture sold her.<br />
The name is apt. This guy truly has crazy hair. In fact there is a whole magical world happening inside said "crazy hair." And if you try to comb it, well lets just say don't.<br />
<br />
2. <i><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Beautiful-Oops-Barney-Saltzberg/dp/076115728X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1456114905&sr=1-1&keywords=beautiful+oops" target="_blank">Beautiful Oops</a></i> - By Barney Salzburg<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_Dz31EArKg0/Vsppm7SFd4I/AAAAAAAABk0/FPh1obFENeU/s1600/9780761157281_p0_v4_s192x300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_Dz31EArKg0/Vsppm7SFd4I/AAAAAAAABk0/FPh1obFENeU/s400/9780761157281_p0_v4_s192x300.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
I think this book was the most apropos, and equally loved by my 20 month old. It's about seeing the beauty in mistakes, and letting things evolve creatively. Fabulous fun book. Wish I'd had it when I was in art school!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3. <i><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Girl-Who-Never-Made-Mistakes-ebook/dp/B005CKKEXQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1456114938&sr=1-1&keywords=the+girl+who+never+made+mistakes" target="_blank">The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes</a></i> - By Mark Pett and Gary Rubinstein</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BKL5QuIxXqY/VspncTOEY9I/AAAAAAAABkc/JbE1mCrPkuI/s1600/51lEYr-WGNL._SY422_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="271" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BKL5QuIxXqY/VspncTOEY9I/AAAAAAAABkc/JbE1mCrPkuI/s320/51lEYr-WGNL._SY422_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br />
<br />
This one is about a little girl who never makes mistakes, but has a rather joyless existence.<br />
Spoiler, she finds out in the end that not being perfect can be freeing.<br />
<br />
4. <i>I'm Gonna Love Me</i> - Jamie Lee Curtis & Laura Cornell<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BEViyhsNBgM/VsponC-uU_I/AAAAAAAABko/KlNE0Y4Tyqk/s1600/516QdqQBG1L._SY416_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BEViyhsNBgM/VsponC-uU_I/AAAAAAAABko/KlNE0Y4Tyqk/s320/516QdqQBG1L._SY416_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Sweet book about loving everything about yourself, especially the things that make you unique.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
After reading these books for a few nights, I'm happy to report that dresses have made a comeback!<br />
<br />
My next quest is to find books dealing with disappointment.<br />
<br />
Let me know if you have any recommendations!<br />

My poor little Doodlebug is allergic/sensitive to eggs, dairy, and some nuts, which makes baking a real challenge. Basically, all of my baked goods these days are vegan, and although it has been an adjustment, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Vegan baked goods are edible! Delicious even, and depending on your substitutions, can be healthier then the usual fare.<br />
<br />
I'm still working on texture and taste, so healthy took a back seat today as I tried my hand at pumpkin muffins, with chocolate chips of course!<br />
<br />
I adapted this recipe from the <a href="http://minimalistbaker.com/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-muffins/" target="_blank">Minimalis</a><a href="http://minimalistbaker.com/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-muffins/" target="_blank">t Baker</a> and it turned out very well, not too dense, and moist but not too greasy, which has been an issue with previous attempts. The troops all approved, so looks like it's going in the rotation.<br />
<br />
<b>Vegan Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>Makes 8 Large Muffins</b><br />
<br />
<b>Ingredients</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
1-1/2 Tsp <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Ener-G-Egg-Replacer-16/dp/B0014DZGUQ" target="_blank">EnerG Egg Replacer</a><br />
2 TBs warm water<br />
1/2 cup pumpkin puree<br />
1 cup non dairy milk (I used unsweetened coconut milk)<br />
1/2 cup brown sugar<br />
2 TB canola Oil<br />
1 Tsp vanilla Extract<br />
1 Tsp baking powder<br />
1/2 Tsp baking soda<br />
1/2 Tsp kosher salt<br />
1 Tsp cinnamon<br />
a pinch of cloves<br />
1-1/2 cups of unbleached all purpose flour<br />
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (non dairy for vegan. I like Whole Foods 365 Dark Chocolate Baking Chunks)<br />
<br />
<b>Instructions</b><br />
<br />
1. Preheat the oven to 375 and place liners in muffin tins or spray with non stick cooking oil.<br />
2. In a small bowl, mix 1-1/2 teaspoons of EnerG Egg Replacer with 2 tablespoons warm water and set aside.<br />
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together, the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and a pinch of cloves<br />
4. In another medium bowl, whisk together the EnerG egg mixture, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, non dairy milk, canola oil and vanilla extract.<br />
5. Gradually stir or or whisk the flour mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.<br />
6. Stir in the chocolate chips until mixed.<br />
7. Using a half measuring cup fill the muffin tins and place in the oven.<br />
8. Bake for 22- 28 minutes until a toothpick comes out with just a few clinging moist crumbs.<br />

For Valentine's this year, I wanted to do a little something for my daughter's teachers at her preschool, and decided to do a small flower arrangement. I am not a florist by any means, but really enjoy putting together an arrangement and have taken a couple of classes for fun at an amazing florist here in Los Angeles: <a href="http://www.floralartla.com/" target="_blank">Floral Art</a>. I found these pink teacups on sale at <a href="http://www.joann.com/susan-winget-red-dot-tea-cup/14553978.html#q=tea%2Bcup&start=30" target="_blank">Joann Fabric</a> and voila! The teachers got teacup flower arrangements. <br />
<br />

<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W6VePg69ogw/Vr98674zQKI/AAAAAAAABio/ZRpf9r6JTYE/s1600/IMG_5885.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W6VePg69ogw/Vr98674zQKI/AAAAAAAABio/ZRpf9r6JTYE/s400/IMG_5885.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
My technique is not by any means professional, but does produce an impressive arrangement to give as a gift, or decorate a table for a party. These would be lovely at each place setting at a tea, shower, or garden party.<br />
<br />
To get my flowers, a took a trip to the amazing<a href="http://www.laflowerdistrict.com/" target="_blank"> LA Flower Mart</a> in downtown Los Angeles. This is one of my favorite places to go to in Los Angeles. There is a stunning array of blossoms any time of the year and half the price of a florist and much less than even your local grocery store. I plan to do a more thorough post with all the details soon...<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-N90vJz_Pujo/Vr99DM76OTI/AAAAAAAABiw/zEPgYxVOrAo/s1600/IMG_5892.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-N90vJz_Pujo/Vr99DM76OTI/AAAAAAAABiw/zEPgYxVOrAo/s400/IMG_5892.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>

With roses, you get the most bang for your buck, but I'm not a huge rose fan and usually gravitated towards more delicate garden flowers. One of the first vendors I went to had a beautiful selection and being short on time, I snapped up two bunches of white with a hint of pink anemones, pink ranunculus, and star of bethleham. I also bought some dusty miller, which is a fuzzy silvery green leaf for texture, but decided against using it. With all of the flowers bought I was able to make four arrangements, which came to about $10 an arrangement.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-afjf-CWEIsY/Vr99JNShXcI/AAAAAAAABi8/48A3Yra23hA/s1600/IMG_5893.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-afjf-CWEIsY/Vr99JNShXcI/AAAAAAAABi8/48A3Yra23hA/s400/IMG_5893.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
So here is what you need:<br />
<br />
1 Teacup (any size or shape will work)<br />
Block of Wet Floral Foam<br />
Pencil<br />
Knife<br />
Garden Shears ( easier but a sharp knife will do.)<br />
Flowers I used:<br />
4 Anemones (mix of open and closed)<br />
4 Ranunculas (mix of open and closed)<br />
2 Stems of Star of Bethlehem<br />
<a href="http://www.save-on-crafts.com/florwatpic24.html" target="_blank">Aqua tubes</a> (optional)<br />
<br />
Any mix of flowers would work for this. When I do arrangements I usually try to have three different textures, a big flower like a peony, or rose, a smaller flower or more closed flower, like tulips, callas lily, hydrangea, star of Bethlehem (here), lily of the valley, tuber rose, and a leaf or greenery of some kind which I omitted here. These would be great with all one flower too, and I think hot pink roses especially if retroflexed could be more fun and modern.<br />
<br />
To start, soak your floral foam in a sink or bucket of water for a two to three minutes. When saturated, remove from the water and place your teacup upside down on top of the foam.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tr8STs97C9M/Vr96DhnxPwI/AAAAAAAABhM/mBemuAF28Y0/s1600/IMG_5867.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="277" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tr8STs97C9M/Vr96DhnxPwI/AAAAAAAABhM/mBemuAF28Y0/s400/IMG_5867.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Press down lightly to make an impression,<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5FUnYIDxpxg/Vr956xgfSTI/AAAAAAAABhE/i_PptAQ8h5c/s1600/IMG_5869.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5FUnYIDxpxg/Vr956xgfSTI/AAAAAAAABhE/i_PptAQ8h5c/s400/IMG_5869.jpg" width="287" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo bt Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Then, using your knife follow the outline to cut out a cylinder. You will need to trim the cylinder down until it fits snuggly in the cup. You want the foam to stick up about an inch or two above the container, but more then that you will want to trim down. I then cut the sides at 45 degree angle to make decorating easier and filled the cup with water.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_pf8XrTRrT8/Vr96hn1RL3I/AAAAAAAABhc/5xNNTSjZ9dY/s1600/IMG_5874.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="331" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_pf8XrTRrT8/Vr96hn1RL3I/AAAAAAAABhc/5xNNTSjZ9dY/s400/IMG_5874.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo bt Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Next, trim your flowers at a sharp angle to about two and a half inches removing leaves unless close to the head of the flower.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2msOtnLXUtI/Vr96wkXiFNI/AAAAAAAABhs/u_EYFKYrkAc/s1600/IMG_5877.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="377" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2msOtnLXUtI/Vr96wkXiFNI/AAAAAAAABhs/u_EYFKYrkAc/s400/IMG_5877.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Start with your smallest flower here the star of bethlehem, and push the stems firmly but delicately, into the foam on either side of the arrangement. With floral foam flowers with thick stems work best, but if you are using a delicate stem, or if your flower breaks off too short while you are trying to press it into the foam, you an put them into water filled aqua tubes, and then press those into the foam.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TcG9YDdvR4Q/Vr9683QE3zI/AAAAAAAABh4/WRhaiD8tqI8/s1600/IMG_5879.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TcG9YDdvR4Q/Vr9683QE3zI/AAAAAAAABh4/WRhaiD8tqI8/s400/IMG_5879.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Then take two of your your biggest or most open flowers, here the anemone, and press them into the top of the floral foam.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Biu8ZNllWM4/Vr97EqIJlDI/AAAAAAAABiA/bQ0J1sY-t7c/s1600/IMG_5882.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="345" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Biu8ZNllWM4/Vr97EqIJlDI/AAAAAAAABiA/bQ0J1sY-t7c/s400/IMG_5882.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
I then began filling in with flowers using clusters of similar color until the arrangement looked full and no floral foam was exposed.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Gbn2OsuyL9k/Vr97Q1VDjqI/AAAAAAAABiI/zvNYZP6gLT8/s1600/IMG_5889.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Gbn2OsuyL9k/Vr97Q1VDjqI/AAAAAAAABiI/zvNYZP6gLT8/s400/IMG_5889.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aHza5KXQhvU/Vr97WYB1SAI/AAAAAAAABiQ/qd3yuWvGi7U/s1600/IMG_5883.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aHza5KXQhvU/Vr97WYB1SAI/AAAAAAAABiQ/qd3yuWvGi7U/s400/IMG_5883.jpg" width="367" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by Flitterin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Since these were small, I kept them overnight in the fridge and the next day the looked equally fresh. You can always add more water to the foam or mist the blossoms with flowers to keep fresh. I have found no matter what my floral foam arrangements just don't last as long. If anyone has any tricks or advice, let me know!<br />

To celebrate the snowy weather that has fallen upon Nashville, today only Kayce Hughes is offering her women's coats for only $40. I've seen the khaki jacket in person and it's very chic and water resistant. </div>

So we live walking distance to shopping on Robertson Blvd. While previously I had never shopped at Kitson (with Kitson Kids being the exception) I did enjoy the spectacle that was always happening around the store. In it's heyday, there were paparazzi pressed up against the glass snapping pics of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and even Victoria Beckham!<br />
<br />
Now Kitson has announced it is closing all stores across the country. I don't know what the story is, maybe over expansion? The kids store has already closed, but it seems that the women's store on Robertson is where all the best deals are. I have been back three times and the stock is definitely flying off the shelves now that items are 80% off already significantly reduced prices.<br />
<br />
I wasn't sure there would be anything since a lot of their merchandise is either kitschy or too flashy for my taste. But to my surprise there are some good things left. I scored a Paul Smith red pea coat. Originally $700 for $80, a Cashmere sweater originally $300 for $30 and silk pants originally $200 for $20.<br />
<br />
There are still some Vivienne Westwood knit asymmetrical cardigans that I left behind. Originally $600 they are probably down to $100.00.<br />
<br />
Go grab them! Who am I kidding I'll probably go back again!<br />

<br />
We have some serious Yo Gabba Gabba addicts in my house. And I totally get it. It's fun trippy, relevant to a preschooler and has some amazing music. One of the catchiest is this little Jingle by the "Little Ones." Every time I hear this song for some reason it always makes me feel like crying, which is odd because it couldn't be more up beat, but I think it is so nostalgic and reminds me of being a kid and knocking on my neighbors doors and seeing if they wanted to come outside.<br />
<br />
Of course, they have to sneak in that "Childhood won't last, won't somebody come outside and play."<br />
<br />
What? I'm not crying, I just have something in my eye.....<br />

<br />
Is there anything worse than when your child has a stomach bug? Seems like Little Miss gets a bought of it every winter. This one started two days ago with a sore throat, then came the throw-ups. Thankfully, she now has great aim, which made things easier for me and it only lasted about 10 hours. Still it's always hard to know what to feed a hungry child with stomach issues. I have been told that the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) is out of vogue, and she could eat whatever she wants but best to avoid dairy. Not easy when my daughter is a little milk addict. My son; however has a dairy allergy (more on our struggles with that later) so we always have coconut milk on hand. I thought I would make a coconut rice pudding sweet, warming, and hopefully (fingers crossed) binding. Perfect for both kids to have for breakfast.<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am always look for new and creative ways to convince my children to go to bed. My daughter in particular is very picky about what she is willing to sleep in and will only wear a "princess nightgown" or a "baby nightgown."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Due to the fire retardant laws it is very difficult to find night gowns in the U.S and I have resorted to buying cotton knit dresses that are soft and comfortable.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, while looking through<a href="http://www.cyrillus.com/en/" target="_blank"> Cyrillus's website </a>(a wonderful moderately priced French brand by the way) I was thrilled to find this whimsical <a href="http://www.cyrillus.com/En/princess-costume-nightdress-dark-pink-silver-sequins.htm?ProductId=090410001&FiltreCouleur=6646&t=1" target="_blank">Princess Costume Night Dress</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The nightgown is made out of super soft cotton with beautiful sparkling stars, and it comes with a little mask and a magic wand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;">This year, I really wanted to start the Christmas tradition of letting my children each open one gift on Christmas eve. My sister and I always got to pick one present to open which usually was from a Great Aunt, or cousin and not the most exciting of gifts (a commemorative spoon, or cat sweater!) . Still it I satiated us for the moment and made us even more excited for the gifts to come.</span><span style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;">I thought perhaps if they unwrapped an exciting new pair of pajamas or nightgown. They would eagerly run to take their bath and get ready for bed! Indeed it worked! My daughter was thrilled to get dressed and flitted about with the wand and mask.</span></div>

He had been wearing his sisters pink handy- me-down and while I love little boys in pink, I figured it was time get him his own attire. In this little robe, he's like a baby Hugh Hefner prancing about.</div>

Here's A love song that's not an ode to mothers but should be...<br />
A week ago, I went to the Spring Sing at my daughters preschool. Each class sang a song, and while there is something about children singing that can make the hardest heart melt, I think these teachers were trying their best to do us all in.<br />
<br />
They started off easy with the littles ones, our Sprouts, wearing chicken hats and adorably singing "Los Pollitos Dicen," then, came "Here Comes the Sun" which got my lip trembling with their angelic rendition but no dice. Up next, the Rainbow class singing what else? "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", the Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole version of course. It took a lot of strength, but I held it together. Nice try Rainbow...<br />
<br />
Finally, comes Daisy singing "She's Got A Way." I'm thinking "Huh? Why are they singing a cheesy Billy Joel love song? They're way off the mark." Then, as soon as they start singing the realization: "Oh no! Where's a tissue! Why didn't I wear waterproof mascara today?" And just in case any poor saps in the audience were still holding out, they each held up a letter to spell out:<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>"We Love You Mom"</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
This is a bit last notice but I thought I'd get the word out to any Los Angelinos out there. Madeline Weinrib is having a sample sale at HD Buttercup.<br />
<br />
I love love love <a href="http://www.madelineweinrib.com/" target="_blank">Madeline Weinrib's</a> beautiful ethnic silk prints and rugs but they are motto motto moolah! With young kids, I just can't afford to buy investment pieces at the moment that are sure to get sticky fingerprints and yes even poop (Mr. Blue eyes has been having tummy troubles) on them. Even at 40-70% off I thought yeah right she's still out of my price range, but I decided to stop by anyway on Thursday. Well folks there are some really good deals here! Her <a href="http://www.madelineweinrib.com/carpets/cotton/?limit=5&mode=grid" target="_blank">cotton rugs</a> are over 50% off so you're looking at about $329 for a 6 x 9 and $649 for an 8 x10.<br />
<br />
Her 6 x 9 print rugs are perfect to layer over a neutral sisal rug to ground a coffee table or a dining room table to add a little color and texture while not as big an investment. The pillows range from $150 - $250 and there is fabric for $99 a yard. I still couldn't commit to the rug or pillows because see above...although I have been thinking of going back and buying a rug I love and then keeping it in the closet until the kids are older or we have more space. I did; however, buy a beautiful <a href="http://www.madelineweinrib.com/fashion/black-white-luce-chiffon-long-caftan/" target="_blank">caftan</a> for $150 that was originally $1400! and a lingerie <a href="http://www.madelineweinrib.com/fashion/purple-little-mu-ikat-lingerie-bag/" target="_blank">bag</a> to give as a gift that was $69 (original $250 and are still for sale on her website. So, check it out!<br />
<br />
There was no-one there on Thursday but I bet today and tomorrow will be a different story.<br />

I love a good estate sale. Maybe it's because I'm a nosy nelly and like to get a peek inside people's fancy houses and boy are there some amazing ones out here in Los Angeles! Or perhaps it's because I fantasize that I'll snap up some unnoticed treasure for $100 bucks that's really worth a million dollars. The best I've done so far is a set of <a href="http://fortuny.com/" target="_blank">Fortuny</a> fabric curtains for $50. In any case, It's really fun to see the architecture not to mention the goods on sale. You can find vintage designer bags like Louis Vuitton, stunning furnishings and decor usually at a bargain especially on the last day of the sale. </div>

</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I like to stay on the Westside because that's my hood, but I've been to some great ones in other neighborhoods too. I thought I would start posting my pick for estate sale of the week, and this week it is one of <a href="http://www.vanyasdistinctpossessions.com/" target="_blank">Vanya's Distinct Possessions</a>. Her sales are usually in upscale neighborhoods like Bel Air, Beverly Hills, or in this case Holmby Hills. She knows her stuff so things are usually priced accordingly, but I have gotten a deal on the last day, and don't be afraid to haggle!</div>

Sometimes it can be hard to see the forest through the trees (or clutter as the case may be) but at this particular sale it looks like it's all about the dining room. I'm swooning over these white Chinese Chippendale chairs and that Chandelier not to mention the carved mirror.<br />

Banana Republic has just introduced their latest limited edition collection and this one is for the mini rock n rollers. The pieces are gender neutral which is really helpful on the second go round. Now that I have a baby boy, I'm regretting my daughters ultra feminine infant wardrobe. I still harbor a serious addiction to buying any item of clothing with butterfly sleeves, so I doubt Mr. Blue Eyes will be getting any future hand me downs. Love the cozy cashmere and the asymmetrical fisherman sweaters for the wee gents and the tomboy onesies for the lil' lassies. And if you feel the urge to splurge on the cashmere, it looks like today they're offering 35% off with the code: <a href="http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=1028237&departmentRedirect=true&tid=brem005627&EV=BRUSWPM02252015&DI=60112644&CD=BRC_BPR#department=136" target="_blank">BRSAVENOW</a><br />

Seems like the Fantastic Mr. and Mrs. Fox are having their day! I keep seeing the most amazing clothing and home items emblazoned with stylish, hip, and adorable foxes. Below are some of my favorites.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While I was busy looking for a halloween costume for Little Miss, I can across the most delightful shop on etsy called <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/wildthingsdresses?ref=l2-shopheader-name" target="_blank">Wild Things Dresses</a>. Her dresses and teepees are all completely adorable but I am particularly smitten with the fox and ordered it up straight away. It's perfect for my daughter for Halloween because she doesn't like wearing things on her head, but it is so beautifully made, it can be a whimsical dress to wear this fall winter! </div>

Loving all things Liberty of London, I decided to check out their website before the holidays and found the most adorable dolls and animals from <a href="http://www.ragtales.co.uk/" target="_blank">Ragtales</a> in their children's section. I ordered <a href="http://www.ragtales.co.uk/toys/dollytales/molly" target="_blank">Molly the dolly</a> (seen above with Patsy) for Lil Miss for Christmas and she has been a big hit. The quality is impeccable, and she is so charming and old fashioned. </div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: xx-small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">So for Easter, I ordered <a href="http://www.ragtales.co.uk/toys/ragtags/patsy" target="_blank">Patsy</a>, and <a href="http://www.ragtales.co.uk/toys/ragtags/pippa" target="_blank">Pippa</a> the cat from the Ragtags collection. Their dolls and animals are filled with personality as are their accessories like this festive <a href="http://www.ragtales.co.uk/toys/carrycases/picnic-set" target="_blank">picnic set</a>. Sadly, Pippa went missing at the grocery store. Hopefully, she's off having an amazing adventure!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Its been a long time since I've posted. The birth of my daughter in 2011 has not given me much time to travel or even fantasize about jetting off to exotic places. Most of my days are spent running after a very busy toddler. I hope to start posting again regularly, but I think this blog may evolve more into daily musings and will certainly become more child centric. That said, I did have the opportunity to take a long vacation to Italy last year when my daughter was only 7 months old. Our 2 night stay in Venice involved climbing 100s of stairs carrying a stroller in 90 degree heat! I did come across the little gem of a puzzle shop <a href="http://www.signorblum.com/">Senor Blum</a> in quiet Dorsoduro where I picked up this cat puzzle. All the puzzles in his shop are hand cut and many have Venetian themes like the one above. I had hard time deciding which to purchase, but did not have room for many of the more elaborate designs in my suitcase. This one appealed to me as the silhouette of the cat is a reminder of the many stray cats one sees in Venice, and the window is so distinctive of Venetian architecture. It has been sitting on a shelf in my daughters room since I got it and she has just recently been requesting I take it down for her to look at. We work it together and it's a nice reminder of those hot days spent in Venezia.</div>

It all sounds so perfect for those of us who prefer to sight see in style on a limited budget!<br /></div><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div>Flitterinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16787038773729664846noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195207555494147367.post-73468812187343074732009-09-07T18:57:00.000-07:002009-09-07T19:34:44.793-07:00Labour and Wait - London<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SqXBylvNhTI/AAAAAAAAA3I/lQUrd7o65tk/s1600-h/shopFront-1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 350px; height: 263px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SqXBylvNhTI/AAAAAAAAA3I/lQUrd7o65tk/s400/shopFront-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5378918404831675698" /></a><br /><div>I often dream about having an all white kitchen, with marble counter tops, white subway tiles, shiny silver hardware, and of course beautiful white accessories...<div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 284px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SqXByDjJzpI/AAAAAAAAA3A/L_TjWpyEleU/s400/Measuring-spoons.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5378918395654295186" /><a href="www.labourandwait.co.uk">Labour and Wait</a>, a little store off London's Brick Lane has beautifully simplistic utilitarian items for your home. Things made in France should be cheaper there right? Apparently, only in my dreams. There are; however, a few exceptions. Several companies have outlets or surplus stores in Paris where you can buy clothing for half the price of what they cost here. I thought I would plan a day in Paris with products, attractions and eats on the cheap.</div><div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SpSdnsdqKhI/AAAAAAAAA2Y/EFJ7Zax5Mjs/s1600-h/apc-spring-2009.jpg" style="text-decoration: none;"><img style="text-decoration: underline;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 275px; " src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SpSdnsdqKhI/AAAAAAAAA2Y/EFJ7Zax5Mjs/s400/apc-spring-2009.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374093560635861522" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">(Image from A.P.C.)</span></div><div><br /></div><div>Start your day off in scenic Montmartre with a delectable almond croissant from the charming <a href="http://www.coquelicot-montmartre.com/">Coquelicot bakery </a>at 24, Rue Des Abbesses. Pop in the upscale beauty store a few doors down and stock up on French skin care products. Three products I love that I found cheaper in Paris are: <a href="http://www.laroche-posay.us/_us/_en/consumer/catalog/product.aspx?prdcode=192C&CatCode=F2_DRY_SKIN_C&TopCat=F1_SKIN_TYPES_C">La Roche Posay Hydraphase</a>, <a href="http://www.aveneusa.com/sun-care/">Avene Sunscreen</a>, and<a href="http://en.nuxe.com/les-soins/lip-balm-fiche-38.html"> Nuxe Reve De Miele Lip Balm</a>. After checking out Van Gogh, Picasso, and Lautrec's former studios, make your way over to Sacre Coeur. After you've had enough site seeing and are ready for some shopping, head down the hill and check out the <a href="http://usonline.apc.fr/?camp=&email=">A.P.C</a> Surplus Store at 20 Rue Andre Del Sarte. Of the three outlet stores I hit in Paris I found this to be the best. The store is small but well organized with men's and women's selections from about 6 months prior at 50% off.<br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SpSdnGjgVVI/AAAAAAAAA2Q/PjIYcmKYpJ0/s1600-h/Zadig_Look_18_1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 339px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SpSdnGjgVVI/AAAAAAAAA2Q/PjIYcmKYpJ0/s400/Zadig_Look_18_1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374093550459835730" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">(image from Zadig & Voltaire)</span></div></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">If you are done exploring Montmartre, you can make your way over to the Marais. There are three free Museums in this area, The<a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.cognacq-jay.paris.fr"> Musee Cognacq-Jay</a>, the <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.musee-hugo.paris.fr">Maison de Victor Hugo</a>, and the <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.carnavalet.paris.fr">Musee Carnavalet</a>. All are in beautiful mansions and are great places to stop if you need a bathroom break. A cheap place to pick up lunch in this area is L'as du Falafel. It really is the best falafel I have ever had for around 5 euros. There is not much room to eat in, but you can take it to nearby Place de Vosges and sit in the park. There are two other outlets close by, the <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.zadig-et-voltaire.com">Zadig and Voltaire</a> at 22 Rue de Bourg Tibourg, and the slightly further a field Et Vous at 17 Rue de Turbigo. The Zadig and Voltaire is the most outletlike experience with boxes and shelves stacked with items to dig through. It is a good place to hit for basics, or to find that item you passed up here months earlier because it was just too expensive. Before visiting their surplus store, I was not familiar with Et Vous clothing, but of the 3 outlets they have the best prices. I found a navy trench coat previously 400 euros for 50, and cashmere sweaters for 40 euros.</div><div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SpSdmrrKj0I/AAAAAAAAA2I/GUbrj9mdzw8/s1600-h/interieur00.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/SpSdmrrKj0I/AAAAAAAAA2I/GUbrj9mdzw8/s400/interieur00.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374093543244205890" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">(Image from Le Vaissellerie)<span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-size:16px;"></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">If you have the inkling to check out the left bank, head over to </span><a href="http://www.lagrandeepicerie.fr/"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">La Grande Epicerie du Bon Marche</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> at 38 Rue Sevres. The color is butter yellow with a white washed rind. Nutty in flavor, it is closest in taste to a monchego, but softer in texture and not as salty. Of the three cheeses I sampled this one was my favorite. Since it is pasteurized, it might be possible to find it at gourmet cheese shops here in the states.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Ardrahan:</span> A cheese that also hails from County Cork, but is produced from raw milk from Mary Byrnes' own cows. It has a washed orange rind and a soft texture like fontina, but the taste is moderately pungent, with a tangy flavor similar buttermilk.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mount Callan: </span>Another raw milk cheese produced by an Australian woman named Lucy Hayes in County Clare. Mount Callan is a very hard dry cheddar also made from raw cow's milk and aged two months. The color is very dark yellow with a dark ashy rind. It is a mild cheddar with a slightly earthy flavor.<br /><br />I think it's hilarious that Sheridans Cheesemongers also make tiered cheese wedding cakes, and would have loved to of ordered one for my wedding. I have the feeling my guests would have been less enthusiastic!<br /><a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.sheridanscheesemongers.com"><br /></a><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.sheridanscheesemongers.com">Sheridans Cheesemongers</a></span><br />11 South Anne Street (off of Grafton)<br />Dublin, Ireland<br />tel: 016793143<br /><a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.sheridanscheesemongers.com">www.sheridanscheesemongers.com</a><br /></div>Flitterinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16787038773729664846noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195207555494147367.post-42694032680399325772009-08-18T21:04:00.000-07:002009-08-20T17:45:55.306-07:00Magical Maui Shopping - Hawaii<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/So2nS5dAwwI/AAAAAAAAA2A/mhrb8hhhfVE/s1600-h/hawaii+.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/So2nS5dAwwI/AAAAAAAAA2A/mhrb8hhhfVE/s400/hawaii+.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5372133873624859394" /></a><div style="text-align: left; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">Where to Shop:</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">Most of my guide books claim that Wailea has the best shopping on Maui, but if you want hip boutiques with local goods, Paia is a must. Many car rental agreements will not cover you if you drive this road, as it is basically a one lane road with falling rocks on one side, cliffs over the ocean on the other, and blind curves. I think it is worse then the road to Hana, but with that said, Julia's banana bread </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#33CCFF;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">(7.)</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"> is worth it, and is one of the most moist delicious recipes I have tasted as is her coconut "crack" candy. As I've mentioned before, whenever I am traveling I like to try and pack books to read that are set in that location, and the Traveler's Bookcase has a great selection of fiction and non fiction reading materials for just about anywhere you want to go. When I asked the store's owner what she would recommend for Paris, she said "How about a mystery?" I'm a complete mystery junkie, so I promptly replied "Yes please." She handed me <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Murder-Bastille-Aimee-Leduc-Investigation/dp/B001G8XKKM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242431089&sr=8-2">Cara Black's: <span style="font-style: italic;">Murder in the Bastille</span></a>, and said if "You like this, there is a whole series to read."<br /><br />I read the entire book on the plane, which is the reason I got no sleep, and finished it just as we were pulling into our gate at Charles de Gaulle. Needless to say, I was hooked.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/Sg3z2F6cNKI/AAAAAAAAAlY/LP_ccj-4Puw/s1600-h/Cara-Black.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 314px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/Sg3z2F6cNKI/AAAAAAAAAlY/LP_ccj-4Puw/s400/Cara-Black.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336189244129686690" border="0" /></a>The series features the adventures of the stylish private detective Aimee Leduc who is kind of like a French Carrie Bradshaw. Each book has a murder committed in a different area of Paris, and really highlights the neighborhood's ambiance. Oddly enough, it seems like the people getting murdered have nothing to do with any case she's working on, but the mysteries are compelling enough for a fun read.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/Sg3zx8M74gI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/DV5yM2pp4to/s1600-h/The+Red+Wheelbarrow.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 391px; height: 294px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/Sg3zx8M74gI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/DV5yM2pp4to/s400/The+Red+Wheelbarrow.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336189172803428866" border="0" /></a>While in Paris, I stopped by a great little English language book store in the Marais, called <a href="http://www.theredwheelbarrow.com/">the Red Wheelbarrow</a>. They carry Cara Black; as well, as many other fiction and non fiction books set in Paris. It's worth a stop to pick out something for the flight home. I bought <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Murder-Paradis-Aimee-Leduc-Investigation/dp/1569475423/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242431159&sr=1-1"><span style="font-style: italic;">Murder in Rue de Paradis</span></a> and read it while eating a croissant on my train ride to London. The experience made me feel like I was lingering in Paris just a little while longer.<br /><br />Traveler's Bookcase<br />8375 West Third Street<br />Los Angeles, Ca 90048<br />tel: 323.655.0575<br /><br />The Red Wheelbarrow<br />22, Rue St Paul<br />75004 Paris<br />tel: 0148047508Flitterinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16787038773729664846noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195207555494147367.post-52366681319641587672009-05-14T17:38:00.001-07:002009-05-14T18:03:30.206-07:00What to Pack - Matthew Williamson for H & M<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/Sgy5m1GGm2I/AAAAAAAAAlI/SfevUPCCteU/s1600-h/20090513_055059_williamson.hori.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 323px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NYY4Rpk2d68/Sgy5m1GGm2I/AAAAAAAAAlI/SfevUPCCteU/s400/20090513_055059_williamson.hori.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335843735266040674" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;">(photo by Solve Sundsbo)<br /><br /></span><div style="text-align: left;">Matthew Williamson's summer line for <a href="http://www.hm.com/us/#/startns/">H & M</a> launched today and there are definitely some items I would like to pack in my suitcase for my summer trip to Hawaii. Number one on my list is the silk tunic pictured above. It is the ultimate glamour cover-up for lounging on the beach. It kind of reminds me of the sexy version of something Mrs. Roper would have worn on Threes Company, but flamboyantly perfect for a tropical local. At $50 I'm thinking it will probably fly off the shelves!<br /></div></div>Flitterinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16787038773729664846noreply@blogger.com0
